What is Trigger point therapy?

Trigger point therapy is a neuromuscular therapy used to correct muscular imbalances, relieve pain and promote healing. Trigger points commonly known as “muscle knots” consist of tense areas of muscle tissue that is frequently the source of pain.

At etobicoke massage therapy, we apply effective treatment to release pain and physical tension at its source through massage treatment in an alternate area.

By releasing trigger points, it increases muscle strength, flexibility and improves range of motion. Our etobicoke massage therapists are trained and experienced to identify affected areas and provide professional massage therapy treatments for lasting relief.

Trigger point therapy can be beneficial for conditions including:

  • Muscle spasms, tension, and weakness
  • Effective in reducing headaches and muscle tension
